Buy Cultural Tourism – 6th B2B Cultural Tourism Workshop will take place on Friday 23th February 2024 from 10.00 to 14.00 at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Florence during the 9th edition of “tourismA – Archeology and cultural tourism exhibition”. The workshop is dedicated to the matching of supply and demand for cultural itineraries and trips between professional operators in the tourism sector, such as tourism bodies, local authorities, DMOs, tour operators, DMCs etc.

Buy Cultural Tourism is an opportunity for promotion and exchange aimed at destinations, entities and operators involved in the offer of tourist itineraries and/or services having cultural heritage as its theme in all its forms: cultural heritage, UNESCO sites, history, archeology, art, architecture, cultural landscape, events, experiences etc.

In the area reserved for the workshop, the SELLERS – tourism bodies, local authorities, DMOs, consortia, DMCs, specialized tour operators and other organizations offering cultural itineraries, experiences and travels – will have a workstation to meet the BUYERS – travel agents, recreational clubs for employees, and associations that organize and/or offer cultural trips to their customers/associates.

Buyers and sellers will have access to the welcome coffee service (9.00-10.00) and the networking business lunch (14.00-15.00) reserved for them.


ABOUT SELLERS – CULTURAL TOURISM OFFER

Tourism bodies, local authorities, DMOs, consortia, tour operators, DMCs, historic buildings, museum sites, archaeological parks, foundations, associations and other organizations that offer cultural itineraries, attractions and/or tourism services in Italy and abroad. The sellers will have a table with their company name in the area reserved for the workshop to meet the accredited buyers and will receive the list of buyers with contact details.

How to participate as a seller

To participate as a seller, please send the REGISTRATION FORM together with the payment receipt of the participation fee by 9th FEBRUARY 2024 (subject to availability):

1st participant (non-exhibitor): euro 300.00 + 22% VAT
1st participant (exhibitor): euro 250.00 + 22% VAT
2nd participant from the same company: euro 150.00 + 22% VAT

The participation fee includes the welcome coffee service (9.00-10.00) and networking business lunch with the buyers (14.00-15.00).

Both those who have purchased an exhibition space at “tourismA” and non-exhibitors can participate as sellers.

ABOUT BUYERS – CULTURAL TOURISM DEMAND

The buyers are selected among travel agents, recreational clubs for employees associations and other B2C organizations interested in enhancing their range of travel services and products, and in offering travels, experiences and cultural itineraries to their customers/associates.

Buyers are carefully selected to ensure that supply and demand meet productively during the workshop. The selected buyers undertake to visit a minimum number of sellers and to evaluate their travel proposals, experiences and cultural tourism itineraries.

How to participate as a buyer

Participation in the workshop is free of charge for buyers. To apply (max 2 people per company) it is necessary to fill in the ONLINE BUYER REGISTRATION FORM and wait for the organizers’ accreditation email.

Accredited buyers will have access to the welcome coffee service (9.00-10.00) and networking business lunch with buyers (14.00-15.00).

  • Offer prizes that will be drawn and assigned to buyers during the awards ceremony at the end of the networking lunch. The prizes can be gadgets, publications, typical products, hotel stays, visits or experiences, etc. The award ceremony, with citation of sellers and prizes offered, will be promoted in communications to buyers.

OTHER EVENTS OF CULTURAL TOURISM

Destinations and operators are also protagonists of the Culture and Archeology Travel Review which takes place on Saturday 24 FEBRUARY 2024. Now in its seventh edition, the review has a large following among the tourismA public who attend the presentations to discover new destinations and unpublished proposals for itineraries cultural and/or archaeological themed trip. The presentations are made by tour operators, local authorities, tourism bodies, DMOs and other organizations that deal in various capacities with the management, promotion and marketing of itineraries and services linked to destinations, sites and cultural heritage.

All events take place during tourismA – Archeology and cultural tourism exhibition scheduled from 23 to 25 February 2023 at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Florence: three days of seminars, presentations and workshops on cultural tourism, cultural heritage, archeology, art and the environment, and further proposals for destinations, museums, archaeological parks, monumental assets and cultural trips in the large exhibition area, open free of charge to the public.
